The Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative Pathway) at Charis Counselling & Training Academy is a two-year, part-time course for those with a Level 3 in Counselling Studies. It prepares learners to work as ethical, reflective counsellors within agency settings, with potential to move into private practice. The course combines in-person Saturday sessions with online learning, focusing on integrative counselling models—Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and CBT. It emphasises personal development, diversity, supervision, and peer support. Graduates can progress to Level 5 qualifications in specialist areas such as Psychotherapeutic Counselling, CBT, or working with children and young people.

This course is CPCAB level 2 in Counselling Skills and will comprise experiential learning throughout of the basic counselling skills of active listening. The skills of the reflecting feelings, paraphrasing, asking open and closed questions, utilising silence, and using relational immediacy will be introduced throughout the courses and learners will work in role play trads to practice their use of skills.

 This course is CPCAB Level 3 in Counselling Studies and for those who have completed an approved level 2 course who want to take the next step in training to further their studies in counselling. It is for those who want to learn more about counselling theory, ethics, and mental health. The qualification leads to employment and increases employability for those whose role is to support others in sectors such as health and social care work.
