Meg Osamwonyi
Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor | Counselling Lecturer | BACP Registered Member
With over 10 years of experience as a counsellor, I am dedicated to empowering clients to manage their mental health effectively by utilising a flexible approach that integrates multiple psychological models. My focus is on adapting these models to suit each client’s individual needs, considering factors such as physical health, culture, and psychological outlook. I also prioritise helping students develop the skills necessary to become effective and compassionate counsellors through a student-centred teaching approach.
I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy (currently in progress at Bath University, completion in August 2025) and a Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET) PGCE Level 7 from the University of East London (2023). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My qualifications include a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (Redbridge Institute, 2011), a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills (2012), and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2014). Additionally, I have further training in areas such as mindfulness, positive psychology, coaching, bereavement, and many more.
Currently, I am a Counselling Lecturer at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, where I have worked since October 2023. I am also a counsellor at Omo Consultancy Services Limited, providing counselling services since September 2021. Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong commitment to continuing professional development, regularly attending workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and research.
As a passionate advocate for student learning, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages open communication and mutual respect. I use a variety of teaching methods such as experiential learning, group discussions, and role-plays to help students develop practical counselling skills.

Tutor
Lily Saunders
Lily Saunders is a dedicated counselling & psychology graduate with a passion for supporting others in their learning, encouraging and empowering individuals to reach their potential. She brings her own academic and practical experience following her recent studies in psychology and counselling to her role as a counselling skills tutor. She has enjoyed pursuing experience through placements within the mental health sector, and this has shown her the value of the skills she has acquired through learning within the person-centred approach as they are vital to her practice. She has also enjoyed holding psychoanalytic theory in the back of my mind to provide a deeper understanding of what a client might be experiencing on a subconscious level and the role of their childhood on their relationships. Both person-centred and psychodynamic theory are of great interest to her.
She is excited to be part of a dynamic and committed team to provide an engaging course which serves as an excellent opportunity for self-development and meeting like-minded individuals.
